This course is organised to run twice annually and is designed to give volunteers all the underpinning knowledge they need to work in any of our five agencies.
There are ten half day sessions spread over ten consecutive weeks.
The minimum attendance is 70% as this training is a compulsory requirement of our agency ensuring best quality service to our clients.

- Boundaries And Ethics
- The Harm Reduction Model
- The Minnesota Model
- Alcohol Information
- Drug Information (1)
- Drug Information (2)
- Working With Difference
- Skills For Dealing With Conflict
- Telephone Skills / Listening Skills
On completion of the course and before volunteers are offered a placement each person is subject to a CRB disclosure. |
