COMMUNITY SUPPORT SCHEME

About the scheme
WGCADA's Community Support scheme is funded by Swansea Social Services Neath Port Talbot Treatment Fund to provide support in the community for people who have alcohol or drug misuse issues.

Who is the scheme suitable for?
The scheme aims to support those individuals whose substance misuse is chaotic and/or health is too poor for them to access services independently.

Support services
It provides support and/or treatment to address alcohol and drug issues. These services include advice and advocacy based on individual needs assessment, practical assistance, housing and benefits advice, access to mainstream and specialist support.

This service also provides support for the families of problem users as well as the community.

Referral
Referrals to the scheme can be requested via GP's or other medical staff, social workers, probation officers, self-referral, friends or family.
