Walkers boost funds
1994
Money continues to flow in from a sponsored walk and fun day held
to boost the coffers of the West Glamorgan Council On Alcohol And
Drug Abuse.
Energetic volunteers from all over the old county of West Glamorgan
trekked from Swansea to Llandarcy Institute where many more joined
a family fun day and the council's administrative officer Esther
Mead reckoned that eh event - which is held annually - raised between
£500 and £700.
The walk was led by centre director Norman Preddy and Swansea Lions
Club sponsored one of their members, Robin Jones.
