LEAGUE OF FRIENDS ANNUAL REPORT

This year has been another successful year for the Friends.

There has been plenty going on in this the 25th year of W.G.C.A.D.A.

Plenty of fund- raising, and plenty of spending!

Our Caledonian Markets are as successful as ever, so to are our sponsored walk and Flag Day. As of yet we have no dates for these events but our new Coordinator, Lesley is working on it!

At the moment our account is in the black to the tune of £2,161 and that is to be boosted by the £268 raised from the Caledonian Market held on May 15th.

Many thanks to the staff and Volunteers who gave up their time to help out.

We are always looking for new members to help with their ideas, support and input.

The DOMINO funding has been increased and this means we no longer have to fund the cookery classes. This is a big saving for us as it was costing around £2,000. They have promised that they will continue cooking for us!

These savings allow us to spend more money on other things.

We have had another garage erected in Swansea freeing up much needed space in our overcrowded building, and we have also been able to put money forward for the forth-coming Conference that is being held.

The Friends are also actively involved in the events that are being held at W.G.C.A.D.A for the Celebrations, and would like to say a big Thank You to Alan Douglas for starting the Centre, thus giving the lives back to the many people who have come through the doors.

There is an Anniversary Evening being held on the 13th November, which we can all attend and also listen out for news of a Quiz night.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE MANY EVENTS BEING HELD AND ASK THAT YOU KEEP PUTTING YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS.
